Ryan Gardiner - GM -‘Crazy Johns South Dragons’ (NBL franchise)…

‘Being a brand new franchise in the National Basketball League, the South Dragons were out to make an impact both on and off the court in their first season. This meant doing what had never been done before. The key component for us was to have the best game night in the league, and the key factor in all this was to engage the crowd.

After considering a number of people, the most professional, creative and dynamic fit for the role of game night presenter was Glenn Manton. Not only does Glenn engage the crowd, he can creatively change the atmosphere and feel of the game. His ability to keep a crowd entertained certainly showed through after a league survey surmised that 70% of people who attended a Dragons home game came to see the event, and 30% came just to see the basketball - this was due largely to Glenn's performance and ability to entertain, and was a key factor in the Dragons attracting the three largest crowds of the season in the entire national league.

The South Dragons have also employed Glenn's expertise at a corporate level. He has been utilized as Master of Ceremonies for all major announcements, and has always delivered a faultless, well-structured performance, mixing good humor with the ability to get all the right messages across to the media and corporate guests in attendance.

Glenn Manton is a diverse and creative presenter who comes highly recommended for any project or event’.

Ben King - Managing Director - ‘King Performance’.

‘Glenn is one of the first speakers we call upon for any of our events. Glenn is real, personable but more importantly approachable. His content, delivery style and tailored message always ring plenty of bells with whoever the audience is. I’ve seen Glenn entertain the top end of town through to young kids in the play ground…keep it real!’

Kate Kearns - Community Partnerships Manager – ‘Metlink’

Glenn Manton is an exceptional speaker and entertainer. Over the past three years, he has acted as MC and Ambassador of the Public Transport Challenge, an annual event Metlink hosts for secondary school students. Glenn brings the right mix of professionalism and humor to the event which owes much of its success to his direct involvement. I can’t rate or recommend him highly enough.

Geoff Caulfield - Year 12 Coordinator – ‘St Bernard’s’

Glenn recently made a presentation to our Year 12 students, giving his own unique recount of finding his way in life as an emerging adult. He spoke about the challenges that he faced as an 18 year old, telling the passionate tale of the trials and tribulations of his relationships, and his experiences with alcohol, violence and girls.

It was a very real and entertaining story, told with energy, sensitivity and humor. It really hit the mark with the boys at St. Bernard’s College. Glenn’s visit was a definite highlight and lasting memory of their final year at school.

Glenn was very generous with his time, and chose to stay for lunch with the boys, sharing more stories and insights. He even returned weeks later to offer assistance to the Physical Education class, sharing his training methods and tips freely in a practical class. If you’re aiming to engage students, I highly recommend Glenn for the positive connections he made with our Year 12 students.

John Van Groningen - Managing Director – ‘Red Dust Role Models’

Passion and creativity are attributes so highly valued and yet so rarely exhibited in tandem. Glenn Manton demonstrates and lives those attributes on a daily basis.

I have both observed and worked along side Glenn Manton. He is a gifted communicator and public speaker. He motivates youth and adults alike and facilitates a flow of new ideas and positive change.

I consider Glenn Manton to be a true ambassador of our Role Model program; he leads by example and with integrity. Red Dust Role Models has been the beneficiary of Glenn’s gifts and abilities and we will continue to look for opportunities to engage Glenn in strategic and operational aspects of our unique organization. Glenn Manton will figure significantly in developing and equipping youth to become the future leaders of this country.

Kurstin Browne- Entertainment manager – ‘VISY’

"It was with slight caution that I approached Glenn Manton to MC a corporate function at the 2007 Melbourne Cup Carnival. I had seen him successfully whip a crowd into a frenzy as the MC at the basketball, but could I trust him to handle a room full of my best female corporate customers on Oaks Day? My concerns disappeared within minutes of speaking to Glenn about the event brief, it was clear that both of my prerequisites about an MC were fulfilled, he was a professional and he was not precious.

On the day of the event Glenn was interesting and funny as an MC, he interacted with our customers, entertained them with his quirks and even managed to commentate the fashion parade. I have no hesitation recommending Glenn Manton for anyone wishing to use him for corporate entertainment, he is fantastic!"

Paul R. Roast, Head of Commercial Banking, Vic Metro Outer East Westpac

On 23rd November 2007, Glenn Manton was engaged by Westpac as a guest speaker to launch the new Ringwood Commercial Banking Centre to a range of introducers, customers and local businesspeople.

Glenn proved to be an excellent choice as his commitment to the task and his professionalism in understanding and meeting our needs was very high and this enabled us to establish great goodwill with our target audience.

Specifically, Glenn researched the task thoroughly by having two conversations with me prior to the day when he asked probing questions about the audience and my objectives in holding the event.

At the event-a breakfast seminar-guests were due to arrive at 7.15am for a 7.30am start but Glenn was at the venue by 6.15am to again run through the format with me and help to set up the stage. He then welcomed guests and staff and made everybody feel at ease.

Glenn’s presentation was stunning and far beyond the standard of the usual “celebrity speaker”. He engaged the audience from the outset with some interactive questioning, had company directors comparing the colors of their underpants, and then spoke about the harsh realities of life for some people that he has dealt with.

This led to the conclusion that we have so little to worry about and need to be bold in our communications with others and in making a stand about things that are important to us.

Glenn did not spruke Westpac but gave me every support and tailored his presentation around my theme of community involvement. He also encouraged people to consider us for their business and at least take the time to talk.

The question and answer session demonstrated how comfortable the audience was with Glenn and provided some incisive comments.

After the breakfast, Glenn stayed behind for over an hour to talk to guests and staff. Again, he was very approachable and he only left after the room had been cleared and everybody had caught up with him who wanted to.

Since the presentation, we have had strong feedback, including a number of e-mails, from our guests who clearly found the breakfast to be memorable and they will be far more likely to attend other Westpac functions on the strength of this. Moreover, they will tell other people about the event which again makes it easier to promote our brand next time.

I would highly recommend that any corporation consider Glenn Manton for engagement as a guest presenter for business promotions.
